Well it is obvious that the MC is a psychopath who lacks any empathy and is a narcissist. They say that an author’s main character often either a reflection of themselves or what they wish they truly were.
With the way most of the manga and etc’s main characters and their storylines are written you have to wonder wtf is wrong with all those people!?!?
