Translator keeps swapping terms. The bluegill are the fresh water fish seen in this lake. Blue Damsel is a saltwater fish and much smaller. I think they are playing off the idea that goldfish are sparkly and considered very lucky as symbols, so her super power is just getting the luckiest outcome from the scenario like biting at the bait but avoiding the hooks.
