The entire point of the character he is right now is to show more mystery. He knows that he’s in a manga, so by acting mysterious like a badass he’ll trigger mystery to readers, which will lead to theories which will bring more popularity to him as a character, which is exactly what the MC wanted from the start since the author hates him
Wow I am impressed that someone can miss the point so completely. Mc is a mysterious character that when pressed about his identity then transforms to become more mysterious. And on top of that beat the main characters group and declared himself a rival. Mc will probably get his own Wikipedia page after this.
