I wanted to like this, but… Well, let’s see, first I’ll list my praises. The artwork is pretty great. The translations are decent, and the concept for the story is not bad, with good moments. The chapters are also quite long.
Now for the bad parts. The plot splits the screen time between the MCs storey and a bunch of other stories too early, well before we can develop a connection/attachment with the MC. There is way too much smack talk. I’ve literally had to scroll through a half of a chapter at times just to bypass irrelevant smack talk fillers of back and forth insults between characters. That’s crazy. The MC is also a trash character. I don’t think I’ve said this about a character before, ever, but this MC is just too infuriating. It’s not that he’s evil, he’s just too absurdly stupid and weak willed; beyond the tolerable. At times he almost becomes likeable, but then almost always quickly does something to ruin it, by acting dumb.
As someone who read up to chapter 102, though it has some good parts, the story is not worth getting invested in, in my opinion. My final score is 4/10.

He wants him to write a book so people can remember him, his adventures, or perhaps his Martial art. Most likely all of the above.
