Dang well the MC parents died together at least also with their kids a their side so at least they can rest in peace (r.i.p) 
His Mom and Dad must’ve been poisoned, either during the Wars his Dad fought and brought along an incurable cursed disease… Though that doesn’t make sense as MC and his Sister were unscathed. So it’s someone close to them when their guard’s are down. Maybe the Uncle who abandoned them. Kinda reminds me of “Necromancer Evolutionary Trait”. so if mephisto wants to take over the body wouldnt the boy going insane be a good thing? why not lead him into doing that so he can succeed? this seems slightly flawed
