I don’t know what contributes to it the most, but it feels hollow after the new season started.
Feels like a 15 year old wrote the dialogues and previous story has been completely abandoned. Also even though it’s cleaner, there is something slightly off-putting about the art – might be the never ending smirks that irritate me to no end, or the body stiffness in dynamic poses, don’t know.
Maybe it’s the fact that it started off with MC being a lone wolf and all of a sudden he’s traveling in a group of people that don’t contribute either to story, nor do they feel interesting as individuals themselves.
I’m not interested in any of his companions (even though they felt intriguing last season to me), they say some cliche or unimportant stuff and pretty much exist to just be there around and boost MC’s awesomeness, like:
“Do you need our help?”
“No, I’ll deal with them myself”
That happens every chapter or every other chapter.
It’s like I’m watching a Steven Seagal movie in a comic format
