Saiyan grow stronger the more they survive a beating or as long as they struggle in a fight.
It’s the same concept I think in most anime/manga/manhwa.

I hope last chapter was just a quick change of direction getting rid of the Blood Demon and now we get more stories, including the Heavenly Demon from the end of last season
