we were in a cave, then we were in a sea of lava, then we discover a city underneath the lava, then we went even more underground, then we were transported to a forest and now we’re in a crystal landscape

Feels more like the backrooms a little each “space” has a little crack or entrance that each time is found by nie lie encourages his allies and himself to go through it and appear on the other side on an otherwise wholly new reality/realm. So it’s not that each is under each other, they could be spatially, but physically the fire realm can be all fire above and below just that there is a tiny crack in the monument and it leads to sect master then off they go again, same here, sect master looks like they either move so fast they leave a trail of light behind or even looks like they made a rift of small light that they follow. Boom new realm with crystals everywhere. If we are made to believe each realm is infinite in its space as a realm, could be there are only little points of contact that allow transfer from place to place that exist in a whole other realm separate from the one you were in. Like how tiny realm is basically earth overrun by monsters and a single village that we see.
