‘Only one person can ever use these’ is always really dumb for items. Who would make something and not use it? If it was commissioned, why didn’t the commissioner use it? Did some master smith kust het boted and stsrt making super valuable items with no buyer in mind and waste the materials since nobody used it? If it bonded for life but didn’t dissappear after it would make fat more narrative sense.
