Theyre probably drugged or something. Like that device uses souls and makes it into an insanely destructive magic. Also the slimes shouldve made a thumb sized hole with the acid and not something so obviously noticable

Is MC being portrayed as dense, or as a hardcore believer in Ontological Naturalism? He seems pretty dismissive of prophecy and religion for a guy that’s experienced:
a. his own reincarnation
b. to a world where magic is common, and
c. where he has already seen at least a few prophecies verified.
I’m not trolling, it just seemed weird to me
