right, too many stories have ppl using fire in caves smd dungeons/ closed spaces with no consequenses, completely forgetting/ignoring air/oxygen/room temperature. (moshuko tensei does it well, using ice magic)
others would have suffocated or overheated, plus that tactic could also be employed vs enemies, like goblin slayer, start a fire inside then block the entrances = fire burns till all oxygen in closesd area gone and monsters either have to come out or die.

so, I watched the anime first, and this chapter really cleared something up.
They kept the fire spreading issue, but completely changed the terrain. In the anime, its all rocky with spikes of stone all over the place… and they still act like a forest is burning down.
