For the love of… The ducal house is even more braindead than I thought. They go out of their way to insult someone the king has his eye on, and in public! They intentionally let their territory go to pot because they’re too lazy to develop the towns and infrastructure, and they leave hostile parties, like bandits, to rise in power and grow in strength, not to mention let local feudal lords run off with the funds needed to run their territory…

It’s the typical fantasy world where kingdoms are run by dumb kings who have no clue what so ever what happens in their kingdom. Duke is still a noble that is in the kingdom under the king. Like why don’t the duke get punished for exiling his own son especially when king likes the guy. Never mind that he don’t know what is happening in the territory of it’s far east or what ever
