I can understand why people would rather chose greed. Greed is a very great drive and those who contempt it are hypocrites. I just wish more heroes could exist here too. It’s near impossible most are artificial. I’m not saying it’s bad but in the end heroes will always get the end of the stick. They’re basically martyrs alive or dead. Some even would desecrate their lives to paint a narrative.
Toki was an insignificant person but who he was has shaped his god. It’s cool he became a saint in death, a saint of his god even. His greed has been heard and the god’s promise was fulfilled. I don’t think I could become anything like any of the characters in this story, whether even those lazy villains who tried to live wretchedly so I couldn’t help but feel empathetic towards everyone’s journey. Kinda condescending with how my life is but still I’m grateful to read on Toki’s story.
