Given what we knew of Karuna and the seals placed on his sword when it was reforged, we knew something very unusual happened to Karuna.
That there are still other fragments out there makes sense.

… I am not a fan of how they turned Caruna into a Big Bad. The one black knight was fine, even the others I could live with, but now we have a Caruna mastermind?! I HATE THAT.
Now, please: let us do something else for 20 or so chapters, by then I’ll have cooled off and maybe find it interesting.
