he should have taken the other carriage to ensure the highest reward (less carriages = less reward, do you remember?).
Also, where are the other people of the caravan, including all other guards? The suspicious dude said they were only reserve because there were already enough guards.
Or are the pursuers those guards?

So the quests are instanced, since that other group got a mission on the mountain, but also impact the world based on completion? All 5 leaders were alive for Snowman, but that party was alive despite the penalty for failure being death. Something isn’t adding up.
