The Assistant Mage Parts Ways With His Power Abusive Alchemist Childhood Friend and His Being Told to Have "Low Chance of Gathering Materials," and Wants to Start a Slow Life at a Town in the Remote Region - Chapter 1
Comments for chapter "Chapter 1"
The couple in the carriage had me chuckling lol
Well at least now it is clear why she is so upset with his collecting performance, everything comes back in tatters. Never said he wasn’t a powerful mage but if control or discrimination of the right spell to use at the right time the results could very well be useless. Maybe a baked ice dragon heart is bad for alchemy, you know?
hope he ends up with wazhername alchemist
megumin lol
Poor thing, not even a complete stranger will leave him alone XD
Holy shit, did you read my mind?????
tf happened there what that hoe want
Good but man, this plot is becoming copy paste. I want one where the MC gets sick of taking crap and instead of being timid and self loathing, becomes confident and stops taking BS from others.
Let’s see where this goes
I give a megumin score of 5/10 barely pass!
I don’t know about that joke page. Megumin’s Explosion wouldn’t have left anything remaining, wouldn’t it?
oh, how amusing this should be entertaing to read

First, I can’t believe this was still chapter 1, that was kind of a lot, not bad
Second, we are missing the most important information. We know enough to despise his abusive girlfriend, because you don’t treat people like that. But is he bringing back spoiled ingredients? Is he bringing back ingredients that are fine but she’s wasting them to abuse him? Are the ingredients fine for something else, but not good enough for the extraordinary work she does? Is he going after ingredients nobody else can even attempt, so a high failure rate is to be expected? So many ways this story could go, and in many of the possible explanations, Ruby has a point to go with her trash personality.
Third, why would we expect two kids raised in an institution and separated from their peers by extraordinary talent to have good personalities?
Fourth, even if Ruby’s suffering will be fully deserved, I take no joy in it. She just lost what may be the only thing that really mattered in life, and that’s so sad. Let’s hope she can use that loss to become a different person.
