Meh. Not sad enough, The villain could have done so much better, like drank all these expensive bottles MC carefully collected over all these years, plucked MC’s facial hair one by one, teached the kid his own swordmanship and fancy dressing taste instead of MC’s,… there was so much to do. 
But no, he decided to go the easy route and just killed MC and his last family. So generic. 
Come on authors, be more creative ! 
Anyway, let’s see where this leads us
