I really don’t like manipulative MCs. And he’s clearly holding grudges against them.
I particularly don’t see the reason why he had to make a point out of proving that they bought the items when he would have won regardless of whether they bought them or not. And the guild was clearly being biased as well. Everything is just too dirty.
It wasn’t even a fair fight to begin with since both Emi and Kara didn’t want to win.
I’m gonna take a long break from this series.

MC you’re using enslavement magic on your familiars so there is no backstabbing so that does not count. Your friends were users and you allowed them to do that because you were blind to the fact they changed yet you only saw the cardboard cutout, the mask they wore till they finally snapped and lashed out at you.
I’m not sure what that is called. It’s a personal crafted blindness, a contrived inability to to see what’s behind the mask. I’m wondering if it’s a variant of sociopathy on both sides.
