Any sane person would expect that from him given his circumstances. It’s a tough dilemma 
So many pedos in the comments, unreal. How can you be attracted to children when your mental age is 50 ish. You could be in a body of a child but your mental age isnt, so you do not find children attractive. Pedos cant understand this.

I find that idea that MC must use his past life as an excuse to escape his responsibilities with the opposite sex absurd. I’m rereading this story arc for the third time and I still don’t understand the author’s point. Our MC is influenced by his past life, and okay, he thinks like an adult because he remembers being one, but he’s also accepted living like a teenager (well, he had no choice). Haven’t we seen him grow up? Become stronger. Haven’t we seen him interact with other boys his age? Haven’t we seen him flirt with all the beautiful girls who’ve swooped in so far? So why does a handsome and talented teenager have to be so stupid in the end? I can accept that the author decided to distance his character from Rudeus in Mushoku Tensei, but that’s not enough to clarify the nonsense.
Well, even though she doesn’t know the truth I think she did pretty great with seeing through his actions and telling him exactly that, letting him know how that affects his precious people around him. Now he may think about and find another/better way to handle this “problem”.

I love how ppl are mad he won’t get with her nor anyone his “age” just bc he remembers how old he was and his memories yet this is basically what would happen from jobless reincarnation if rudeus also just didn’t want anyone his age. But I’m also seeing ppl going like “good he’s not rudeus”

I get that he has the mentality of a 50 year old or so, but currently hes in a body of a 12 year old, instead of having trouble thinking what he shouldn’t do he shouldve just told her that hes not ready for a relationship and if they are willing to wait till they are older then, they should see how their relationship should progress by then, at least this way he wont think they are children anymore as they have grown up in the future, so to me yes as a 50 year old its wrong but hes not 50 year old anymore thats his past if he didn’t remember his past hes just 12 now, so instead of thinking what shouldn’t be he shouldve done something about what can be in the future.
