Plotline is shitty because authors shallow understanding of how society works. You have half anarcho feudal society, with no enforcement of any rules, retarded people with inflated ego complexes in places of power and totally insane economy. Where this floating town’s crops come from. Its above a wilderness filled with monsters. Same with elves. How they produce food without farmlands? They forage? Hunt? And that’s just food….
So what would be a punishment for injuring royalty? Wouldnt Wykes family be guilty of treason even if they acted under duress? After all it’s a kingdom, and nobles swear loyalty to the king…. And Lucas hurt offspring of two kings….
Just wanna give my piece to the people saying “bad plotline” because in all prospects, this is a (relitavely) realistic reaction. Somebody, the age of 12-13, comes in with absolute overwhelming power with nearly no information on him, with a bonded dragon AND a dragon will? The answer shouldve been easy.
