Asuras remind me of fallen angels from the bible and how they taught humans hidden knowledge. They even began having children with humans thus producing the (nephelim) and in parallel to this story, the mix between the asuras and human blood from the other continent.
my theory is, vritra is arthur previous life continent, seeing how his previous life continent is very advance, its make sense that vritra know how to made steam boat too, which is a knowledge only arthur know in dicathen.
