So why didn’t he try to attack her with magic? Binding (she would have loved that), earth walls, air blades, etc. could have been standard duel approaches, but all he did was a barrier. I mean why does he insist on using strategies that ONLY can be done with infinite mana, talk about outing yourself. Also, as an earthperson, his not recognizing things like gas attacks seems sad (or maybe just not good at magic in spite of his effort).
