How can I forget the history where the hero defeated the demon lord with a footbath. It was certainly a very broken weapon that had to be nerfed.
And not to mention the hot face mask, that really was a devastating blow to the demon army.

Ah! I remember those kind of catalogues. The scammy version of the mail order catalogues. Which themselves got popular at the end of the mail order warehouse era. Before you got a catalog where you filled out a postcard to order stuff. Then the internet became a thing, and you still used the catalog to look for items (as the internet was slow AF*) but ordered via internet store, which did cut order times by half or more*².
Because that’s the speed you get in Germany on mobile if on your mobile internet “flatrate” the volume of fast internet is used up.
While back then it somehow was fast enough. Though loading a medium sized jpeg could take a hot minute, you could surf the net. But today the connections will time out long before.
*²=Back then it usually took a week for the post card to get there, another week for the package to get from there to you, and around 3 to 6 weeks (with 6 weeks more common) processing time in between. The order via online store did cut away the week for the postcard, and up to 2 weeks for processing. So you only waited for a month, now. Huge improvement. (From two months)
Hard to imagine in times where you order and might even get it same day. Oh, back then there was no tracking, either. You never knew when one would arrive. Usually when you weren’t home, so you spend another ~4 hours standing in line at the post office to retrieve it.

Best part of this advertisement is that for us these items are usually scams that don’t deliver on what is promised, but with his creative alchemy he will be able to infuse a created item with magic to actually DO what he wants it to accomplish. So these over the top claims (like curing sensitivity to cold and getting a girlfriend) will become realities
