People keep mention the “doomslayer suit”, but from the timeframe of such a catalog it’s more likely he finds and recreates (especially now that he knows that the demon lord is a girl):
The hard(/power) suit from BGC 2032, Knight Sabers. (The original design is still the best*).

Unfortunately the series got cut short because it was too successful and two companies were fighting over copyright.
Later it got two sequels: Bubblegum Crash, which basically ended the original, but already had updated designs, and Bubblegum Crysis 2040 (1994) with less 70s/80s design and more 90s design. A live action was planned, started, and buried in 2009.
Compared to that Ironman at that time (1987) was just a dude in a medieval armor (ok, it got a physical enhancement, but IMHO it wasn’t even able to fly) who looked and breathed through slits in said armor. He only did barely catch up to Knight Sabers in 2020.
