Wrapping someone up in a blanket is NOT great during or immediately after seizures.
The excessive muscle contractions of a generalised seizure cause hyperthermia.
The longer the seizure the worse this will get.
Adding a blanket will cause an increase in the body and brain overheating.
Overheating will lead to increased neurological damage… and make future seizures more frequent and more severe … due to that increased damage.
Active cooling is often necessary instead of blankets.
The best or most correct thing he said or did was preventing further injuries… and keeping everyone quiet and calm.
