Dude has f*cking anti-magic and yet he tries to use life-force 
. Please note, we know he doesn’t know it yet, and that’s fine, but that’s not why I’m annoyed sadly. I’m annoyed because he’s not being at least a little more cautious about the ability he’s gain. I get he has to try and obviously for plot reasons, but the way this author is writing him is like he has low IQ or more like amnesia (or something in between amnesia but also knowing about the abilities he has), and isn’t even being a little more aware about it every time he tries anything, regardless if he’s doing it on his own or like this situation here, which is the latter more than the former.
