Bellwood’s a d1nkleberry. He’s the average isekai protagonist whose nivety and ideals basically fucked the entire world. And to make things worse, he basically gaslighted Alda (who was already an 4ssh0le before), into becoming an ultra pre-guduranis conservatist nutjob (being a conservatist per se isn’t bad, but Alda genuinely went insane), who in the future committed and romaticized acts of racism and genocide, for the purpose of “restauring the world to it’s pure form”.
Alda was and still is one of the main reasons Lambda is f*cked. IF he listened to vida and not his sugar baby Bellwood, he wouldn’t have gone insane. Because of Alda’s crazy delusions, he didn’t allow lambda to advance technologically, that’s why the world has been stagnant ever since the age of the gods.

Nobody here commenting on how ridiculously creepy the vampire race’s backstory is?
A goddess falls in love with a mortal. He dies and his soul is destroyed. She brings his corpse back to life as a mindless husk. She bangs said husk and gives birth to the first vampires, then just sits there chilling with her unresponsive lover for eons as her children are slaughtered and the world gradually forgets that she exists.
This is Dark Souls level lore here.
The web novel was way more exciting when depicting the backstory. I hate to say it, but the manga illustrator just doesn’t have what it takes to make the series shine. I recommend giving the novel series a try if you enjoy this story
I hope we ca see the other souls as well, since MC can technically multiply himself, might be the other soul personalities could come out, in a sense.
Its taken thousands of years but Van is back and he’s going to fix the world for Vida and his mum.

Though, 2 thru 4 have the remains of four souls crammed together in one body.
Ah, so that other god merged MC’s soul with that other guy’s soul, and that is how MC was able to bypass that curse.

The real reason that Rodcorte’s scheme to reset Hiroto/Vandalieu’s soul failed is that he tried sending his soul to the database he had access to, but thanks to Vida merging his soul with Zakkart’s, he fell into Vida’s database, which he has no access to, therefore negating the curse on his soul. Even though it is imprinted on him, it is void.
Imagine buying a TV at a store. You find it is defective, so you take it back for a refund. Problem is, you bought the very last one before it was discontinued and is no longer in the store database. No refund, but since you have proof of purchase, you can get store credit instead… and to make up for the inconvenience, you get double points!
Same principle. Vanadieu’s soul is not in the normal Lamda database, so no curse… and with his new Dhampir abilities, he can charm undead. It’s actually an upgrade for him. Stupid old man.
