I think a lot of people in the comments are getting confused. That other personality is the martial arts he is learning its demonic arts. It messes with your mind and amplify your desires, especially killing,in order for him to bury that personality or Qi he needs to get stronger also in earlier chapters he specifically said that he should’ve started with regular martial arts. So he can build a foundation so that the demonic martial arts doesn’t take over his mind.
