Good riddance. They’re nice accessories but beyond that they might as well be restraints. Maybe now that they can breathe the noblemen will let women do more than manage the household.

Fun fact, this is based off of the myth of corsetry surrounding the advertisements during the Gilmore girl age and not the truth. Corsets, when tailored correctly to the wearer, are extremely comfortable. But big industrial manufacturers cannot make them, as they need to be fade to fit and have too many pieces effected by various measurements of the torso. To have a comfortable corset, you must have a tailor. Corsets went out of style around the same time manufactured clothing became popularized.
