For those wondering. The girl is Millia. She’s the daughter of Viscount Grease from Chapter 2.
She gets partnered with a special person.
I’ve re-read it like 3 times now, (this is my 4th). The anime just does it better even if you cut some scene from the anime. I do like how the character in the manga aren’t overly goofballs as the anime. Fresh dialogue makes it nice to read.

Cid has two abilities. First his lies are always somehow the truth. Second he is always strong enough to humiliate his opponent. I am convinced he gave himself a head injury in chapter 1 when banging his head on that tree for magic and the rest of the story is just a coma dream.
