Being aggressively “peacemongers” is a death sentence to a country.

Except under specific scenarios:

  • You are allied with, or your location & goods are useful to, a very militarily powerful ally.
  • You have an alliance with many other nations, who in times of conflict, would come to aid you.
  • This only works if they honor the alliance or are capable of even doing that much.

You could also apply this to extreme isolationists as well. In a totally neutral or peaceful world this idea could work.

However, it requires this to be the case. If any one nation has ambitions to militarily expand their control, this idealism shatters instantly.
