This chapter and previous feel like author force them to “lose”. At first, seem like Silvia was driven by her knight’s pride, but used a bow to fight close distance to a very good sword fighter, she even aware that too, but why she take that risk? Then Eko join the fight, but almost have no effect. For worse, a strategist even presence there, but there is no command. You could argue to any point above, but it make no sense.
