Too bad he can’t clone himself, like the original ship captain did.
Strange chapter with several big “worldly” questions:
- What is Relativity?
- What is religion?
- What is God?
- What is Demon?
- Where are these “monsters” coming from?
- Why is an AI having internal thought?
- What is time in this universe? How long is a century? If time can expand and shrink, does “time intervals” have any meaning?
- Why there are no other Gods on this planet?
- Why is the only person with both tech and magic has black hair? And looks like Alita from Battle Angel Alita. What is the author trying to imply? Remember that Gunnm, aka Battle Angel Alita is a story about some “secret AI” that has been running/managing a planet for God knows how long because the “elite humans” who created her have all left eons ago. But, they sent an armada back to try to retake the planet like centuries prior to the events in Gunnm and that Alita was just a soldier amongst many all with the same training and specs.
Anyway, I was hoping to explain Special Relativity, but I guess that will have to do because this is why beyond just a comment at this point. This manga is very strange is all I can say, just like Hell Mode and One Piece are all very strange, especially with characters sometimes doing a 4th wall break without doing a 4th wall break like the main character in this chapter when he asked his wife “You know relativity.” But didn’t follow up with the right follow up, which is “That’s amazing.” That’s because it is 4th wall breaking by the author, I think. You see, I think Special Relativity (SR) is not real but GR is somewhat” but also not quite right.
