This would be never part of a game design. Like MMOs can f*ck with you sometimes but core parts like job change would never be like that. You want players to spend time in game and spend money, you would never set up core element that you can’t repeat to be so random.

Are the trials meant to make you fight your biggest obstacles or smth?
Nono thats not right. I think the reason he got that specific trial is because he was special both in the previous life and the present. Not only did he get a trial that was never heard of, it catered exactly to what he needed. Mirror Clones? Cool. Double your own stats? Magnificent. He had the opportunity to become the strongest awakened in the world, just through sheer thought process this much is obvious. Its unique to him and clearly the game interface recognized his latent talent if it felt this was the test he needed to be given. Honestly, the way his previous life ended was a huge disappointment but that leaves massive room to grow. Not only will he learn from past mistakes, but he will properly think things through and learn to think on his feet. I’m excited to see how much he’ll grow. I’m gonna shut up now.
