Hey so, isn’t her asking mc to take care of one of the gates basically her saying that he will become one of the “ninth gate” members?

Like him protecting the gate puts him into a similar realm as the harem king. (Hear me out for this one). Harem king is seen as the strongest person, able to solo half of the 9th gates. So mc being able to tip the scales in such a way as to destabilize a massive guild, and then take its place would firmly place him in the top 10.

Another thing I’ve realized after rereading this, the top 10 seems to rank themselves strangely. I’m not 100% certain if they rank on pure combat ability or if they measure it some other way. In terms of mana mc is probably either top 10 if not #1 just in terms of mana quantity and regeneration. (Not sure about harem king but it seems like harem king just uses pure brute strength…) Mc’s production abilities also probably rival if not surpass Faust, simply because he can cut out the middle step of time.

I do find myself curious about certain things that are just not explained. This world seems to have the ‘belief grants power’ thing going on, which always raises questions. There’s the whole regenerative immortality gimmick, along with certain aspects of the spells. Like is a deca spell the maximum that can be made, or can it be made if enough power is supplied. If the bossmon suit can be upgraded simply by consuming things, why hasn’t he tried just letting it consume entire dungeons. He levels up whenever it consumes things as well, so having a system where a dungeon is created, he sends in the bossmon, it consumes everything inside, rinse and repeat.
