You’re… a baron… That’s the lowest landed rank other than land-owning knights with followers… And of course a duke would push a prince. Prince is below King. Duke is equivalent to King, but with vassalage. If for some weird reason the prince hasn’t been given the king title on the death of the previous one (coronation non-withstanding), that will likely push ALL the nobles in disarray and you can bet your arse a duke could move to stabilize the country… Most likely with the backing of all the nobles who’d be pissed at the incompetents royals.
