I think we are being fooled and this is really an origin story of the first superhero of the first Hunter before the dungons and monsters show up. No way a regular human can chock a wild boar to death or drag it home with one arm. then the smoke.

MY GOD this is THRILLING!! I love that it seems like he has some kind of dark power, possibly obtained from or as part of returning to the past.
