MC should have made the safe area smaller.. would have gathered enough vines faster since would need less..
That they would have to stand close together would just be an unavoidable accident..

Hopefully there’s some story development coming…the MC comes from a (supposedly) powerful noble family, but the Headmaster (and staff) seems rather unbothered by his potential death.

Plot-wise, that’s the equivalent of 2 + 2 = 5
