That’s just insane. First of give a month of theory and then do exams. After that exhaust the students by let them run for 60 minutes before enter a portal without any protection gear and weapons. And they say a good instructor for that. If they want to end these people lives then why even send them in the portal ?

A little too much telling, not showing. It’s a little hard to create tension using random mechanical facts, and easier to lose it.

When you send trainees on combat training you usually make sure they at least have proper gear. Not only weapons but clothes too.
