I’m sure this has been commented on previously…

but I only just noticed….

Way back when all the characters were wondering who the apostle was in the Blake household, they immediately ruled out the father because he could still use magic but divine power would cause him to lose his magic.

But..
…then they suddenly had the loophole that only the Blake family can use both magic and divine power as well…
But …
…still ….nobody thought the apostle could be the father.
….Even when they suddenly realised the Blake family could use both.

This seems to have never been addressed in the story.
