Nice, made an “enemy” into a friend/potential lover. Plus, she is cute 🙂
Especially the childhood.
And I have been noticing, it would seem that Rakta is based on Chinese culture, and Kadoe is based on Japanese culture.
Just that there are some twists to them, like how the Raktas are from the coast (Japanese islands) and Kadoe from the mountains (Chinese mountains and lakes) and had the majority of the lands at some point (Kadoe had an 800-year empire or something? ~The long-lasting Chinese Empire with quite some land in Asia). And how after the Kadao empire fell, the Rakta rose (aka WWII, after the Chinese Empire fell and the Japanese Empire came in and conquered). With the Rakta inventing the books (Chinese inventing paper) and being industrious (Japanese going into the Industrial Revolution before the Chinese). And the Kadoe having horns (Japanese mythological creatures?) and referring to each other by surnames (Japanese customs? Although China/other Asian countries do it too, just not as strict and doing it all the time.)
And I think Hydron would be Middle Eastern culture or something (?) and Hydia (The elves?) being the Mayans/Aztecs + Eleves (And they got wiped out by European viruses)?
Truly a merge of cultures.
PS: Correct me if I am wrong and add on if you have more to say.^
