The joys of censorship, in a time of ignorance, reading is somewhat common place, but education is minimal, meaning people can read, but they can’t understand what they are reading and thus try and draw parallel of what they read to the real world.
Kinda like now, with every fool believing whatever is on in TV or podcasts.
US education tried to min/max information with common knowledge and critical thinking skills, with a US exceptionalism bent(most nations exaggerate their nation), but the commies been destroying educational and deeper understanding over the past 40-50 years tho.
Pushing more critical thinking skills and common civility is about the only way to fight it, since censorship is a game of moving goal posts.
