The Great Wizard of the Library - Chapter 41
Comments for chapter "Chapter 41"
This assignment is intense. With modern tools like InDesign and high quality printers creating a project of this scale on this tight timeline would be intense. It would be outright insane trying to complete something like this using traditional methods like movable type and more advanced and ornate binding methods and decorative illustrations. Not to mention the cost of such an endeavor.
It took me two weeks just to throw together a 24 page specimen book to highlight two font families I designed that looked decent. That was a rushed job since I had spent the previous 6 weeks designing the typefaces. Layout design, the amount of pages, type treatment, and bookbinding methods all take a lot of time to sort out. Then there is also the writing and editing. You can’t even start on the design portion till the former is done. In my case, producing two copies of the book cost me around $200.

The way the dress sometimes becomes extra skin tight is kinda crazy. Not complaining, though.
