Read the rest of the chapter elsewhere… The fight wasn’t bad overall since he IS a hero, but the balancing is messed up: the rest of the hero party are jackshit compared to Orun. They should have been able to struggle more against the black dragon.
This is just dumb tbh. The scaling is completely broken unless his general magic aptitude is literally off the scale. A swordsmanship and enchanting. The highest mentioned rating is S. Repeatedly casting dozens off spells, layering support mahic on them, and doing so solo while fighting and dodging with no cover isn’t impressive, it’s stupid and removes the entire point of a party worse than the bit where he was countering the giant before it could even begin its windups. There’s a limit to how much stronger than everyone and everything else you can make the protagonist before it just makes everyone else look dumb and unreasonably weak. This is way past that point and hasn’t even hit 20 chapters.

I get criticism for the MC for not taking support but he wants them to protect the kids so they should protect the kids by moving them to a safer place which is what they are not doing

Mc is the only one fighting while the rest are watching. I know you’re not supposed to interrupt or interfere in a high stakes fight but their not even attempting or thinking of a way to assist the mc.
