Fun fact: The whole “Alpha” thing at least in wolf packs was a misunderstanding by a researcher at the time who didn’t realize he was tracking a family.
The “Alpha couple” was just a mom and dad, the following behind couple were just the grandparents taking up the rear and the “Subservient wolves” were just the kids.
He spent years trying to have this corrected but the idea of an “Alpha Male” existing in nature was so appealing and interesting he never really got the chance to fix it
