The story reminds me a bit of the concept of the movie “Minority Report”. The MC is punishing people who, technically, have not yet committed the alleged crime. Kuntz, for example, was just an arrogant and idiotic teenager, but he was brutally killed by the MC. However, the version of him that would kill the MC would only exist years in the future, meaning that there was the possibility of having an alternative route of revenge, perhaps something to mold the individual’s character and alter that bleak future of both.
I take it the father of his first victim is coming for revenge. I guess revenge begets revenge.
