What a failure as a father. Instead of actually helping his kid in an effective way, he insulted him to his face and left him rot in his room. Children will always remember what their parents tell them, how they behave with them, and how they behave around others, my mother once told me I wasn’t worth shit, its been years and I never forgot that, no matter how good we are right now, it was prob a Tuesday for her but for me, it was the day I played on my bed and had a breakdown, her words echoing in my head, because I truly felt like I wasn’t worth anything. And if my MOM of all ppl said that, then it must be true. Dude could have let the kid rest whenever he became overwhelmed, and then started training again so he could slowly master the basics, and maybe give him a few more years left to live rather than 20. But because he gave up on his own kid, his kid died at 13 🤦. I know Asian families aren’t portrayed as the best, but are there truly no Koreans that can portray a father that actually does everything in his power to save his kid? Or treat them like a person and not a burden? Its no wonder the kid behaved the way he did. I would be angry as hell too and taking it out on everyone.
