there you used to people who’s full time job was to “record history” they would just go around listen to people’s stories watch things happen and write them down in journals because humans realised that what happened doesn’t matter but what’s recorded does, so it is believed these people would be bribed by powerful people to write history according their liking so a lot of human history is believed to be skewed from what actually happened
