I dont understand. We are so late in the story. Why is this situation so elaborate we need to spend multiple chapters on this. Its like if Jinwoo was spending significant time in a C rank dungeon AFTER Jeju Island.
This delopment should just be a footnote, but we are spending sooooo much time on it. Davey just saved AND dominated another country. Why do this small group of scumbags get THIS much screentime?

…and seriously though, if the territory is still prosperous despite Davey putting his retainers in charge, I’d think as a lord he put exactly the right people in charge. It shows he knows how to delegate if anything, and it lets him be lazy, or at least focus on other things, case in point literally everything that happened between the last act that took place in the Rown territory and now.
Then if they need muscle they call on him when he returns. Like now. As these dunderhead slavers will soon learn.
