The Max Level Hero has Returned!

I think we’re missing a chapter 0. Over the course of the story he continues to bring up things that are only of our times. But never does this information come in handy. He says things like “oh it’s like a game” or something about Shakespeare but never utilizes contemporary knowledge.

So what is the point then? He’s already been trained by the gods, he has all the power, why does he need Isekai knowledge?

And is it Isekai within a fantasy medium in his world?

This story is basically a child’s Lego collection aka Togashi syndrome. Author had taken inspiration from just about every single thing and just shoved them in together. While Togashi would leverage that for interesting stories of intrigue this author had decided to use it for a fairly average power trip story.

Evil step mother and brothers? Check
Dubious financial officers to punish? Check
Mostly grey collection of females? Check
Wins everything all the time? Check

This goes on ad nauseum. City building? Murim? Elves? Disease? There is nothing this mc cannot handle.

While it’s fun to watch the MC jump from interest to interest there isn’t really any emotional motivation here. It’s just “I’m powerful and I’m saving the world” and everything revolves around him.

I think this would have been a 7/10 back in the early days of manhwa webtoons but compared to the level of interesting ideas and stories that are out today, this has become mostly nostalgia.

The art isn’t bad but not great either. The color palette isn’t bad. But the movement isn’t fluid or memorable.

If you want something mindless with a lot of over powering mc stuff in a generic fantasy/magi-punky style, this might be the comic for you!

6/10 will read once in a while, but not interested.
